    Prior to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (2010) companies, employers, and organizations could invest in various wellness, health, and fitness products and services to be offered offerred to their employees often at a discount. Many companies preferred to offer discount packages for local fitness clubs and spas as part of their Employee Wellness program or benefits package.
